Program Description:
The Graduate School of Public Health of the University of Pittsburgh (nationally accredited) offers courses of study and research in many areas, including biostatistics, epidemiology (with numerous specialty areas), behavioral and community health sciences, health administration (joint with School of Business), health policy analysis, human genetics, genetic counseling, environmental and occupational health, occupational medicine, health promotion and education (joint with school of Education), infectious diseases and microbiology, public health social work (joint with School of Social Work), public health statistics, risk assessment, and radiation health (certificate earned with MS in Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences). A multidisciplinary MPH is available to doctoral level health professionals. The school was recently ranked among the top 10 schools of public health and is #3 nationally in receipt of NIH research grants.
