The goals of the molecular virology and microbiology program are to provide a broad understanding of microbiology as an integrated discipline in the biomedical sciences and to offer the opportunity to pursue independent research pertaining to molecular aspects of infectious diseases. This specialized training program is a part of the Interdisciplinary Biomedical Graduate Program (INTBP) at the University of Pittsburgh.
