Program Description:
The Clinical Nurse Leader is an emerging nursing role developed by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) in collaboration with leaders from the academic and service arenas in order to improve the quality of patient care and better prepare nurses to thrive in the complex health care arena. The MSN Clinical Nurse Leader area of concentration will provide you a high quality theoretical and clinical education in nursing without duplicating previous coursework. A CNL is prepared with the knowledge and skill set that may be implemented in various ways and settings within any health care organization. Upon graduation, each student is eligible to sit for national certification as a Certified Clinical Nurse Leader.
