Program Description:

This APA accredited clinical training program is intended to provide preparation for research/academic careers in Clinical Psychology. Clinical training is seen as an integral part of the education of highly skilled, creative, knowledgeable clinical scientists. Consistent with the department's basic scientific orientation, clinical training focuses heavily on empirically validated treatments, especially cognitive-behavioral and short term psychodynamic interventions. While students will become skilled clinicians, the emphasis of the program is clearly on research, and potential applicants should bear that in mind.
