Program Description:
The program in Ecology and Evolution at the UO is particularly strong in quantitative and ecological genetics, conservation biology, and microbial ecology. Active research programs emphasize life-history evolution, plant mating system evolution, biodiversity, the evolution of animal behavior, molecular evolution, photoperiodism and seasonal development, theoretical ecology, population viability analysis, microbial ecology and evolution, paleobiology, paleoecology and ecosystem evolution, and biology education. Most laboratories employ a combination of lab, field, and theoretical approaches to answer a variety of questions.
