M.Ed.- Instructional Psychology, Instructional Technology, Instructional Design;, Ph.D.- Instructional Psychology and Technology
The Instructional Psychology and Technology (IPT) program integrates the traditional fields of educational psychology and educational technology. Educational Psychology contributes knowledge of the internal conditions of learners, the external conditions that affect learning, and the measurement of psychological processes and characteristics. Educational psychology also offers an empirical perspective on the development and assessment of theory. Educational technology contributes the "technology" of analyzing learning tasks, learners' characteristics, and the contexts in which instruction will occur. This analysis is the foundation for designing, developing, producing, implementing, and managing theory-based instructional interventions to promote learning.
