Program Description:

The OU-Tulsa Telecom program has world class research labs dedicated to the areas of photonics, wireless networking, electromagnetic compatibility and interoperability. The Interoperability Lab has been highly successful in developing partnerships locally and nationally. TCOM researchers have had extremely productive collaborations with colleagues in Norman, in the OU-Tulsa College of Medicine and at the University of Tulsa in fiber optics and network security. Students learn and use the techniques of interoperability verification in a hands-on training environment. The interoperability lab encompasses five domains of telecommunications: PSTN/legacy, wireless, optical/photonics, IP, and ATM.
