Program Information
Degree Offered
Secondary or K-12 Teacher Licensure
Format: Campus, Online
Program Description:
This Post Baccalaureate Teacher Licensure Program is ideal for people that have had successful careers but have always wanted to be a teacher. We offer the program for people that would like to be secondary or K-12 educators. More information may be found on our website. The secondary program is about one year long (depending on completion of content work) and is offered in Greeley. We take pride in the successful field experiences that are part of our Post Baccalaureate programs including reading/tutoring components, practicum work, and student teaching. These experiences give students an amazing opportunity to be out in the field while still working with a UNC supervisor for feedback, advice, and constructive criticism. The program is in a cohort model which also has many inherent benefits. Because these programs are at the graduate level the student may apply 12 credits count towards a Master's Degree in Teaching: Curriculum Studies, which leaves the candidate with 6 classes remaining for their MAT: Curriculum Studies. Teacher Candidates may work towards a different MA as well.
