Program Description:

The online Policy Analysis Graduate Certificate focuses on enhancing your analytic skills in political, non-profit, and public policy, including:
-research methods
-legislative and executive processes
-problems in state and local government

With the Policy Analysis Graduate Certificate program, you will explore the:
-various approaches to analyzing political phenomena.
-techniques of empirical research including research design, measurement, data gathering, and data analysis.
-use of empirical theory and techniques to make policy choices.
-initiation, formulation, adoption, implementation, and evaluation of American public policy.
-contemporary structural and policy problems of state and local governments.
-structures, processes, procedures, and positions of the legislative and executive offices in government.

This part-time program is designed for working professionals. Fully online, you will participate in "live" Web classes typically held one evening per week. You are NOT required to come to campus at any time.

Pay in-state tuition rates for online courses regardless of where you live. Compared to paying the out-of-state tuition rate, this can translate into big savings for you!

All courses in the Graduate Certificate program may be applied to a fully-online Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree should you be admitted at a later date.

Eligibility Requirements:

-A baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution.
-An undergraduate GPA of 2.75 overall or a GPA of 3.00 in the last 2 years of your undergraduate program.

If English is not your native language, you must complete the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) prior to admission. If you have received a bachelor's degree or higher from the United States or English-speaking Canada, you are not required to fulfill the English test requirement.
