Program Description:

The online Graduate Certificate in Environmental Engineering combines the aspects of chemical, civil, and geological engineering as they relate to the environment. The program focuses on the major environmental issues relating to the mitigation of environmental impacts from gaseous, liquid, and solid-phase emission sources.

With the Environmental Engineering Graduate Certificiate program, you will:
-Experience a unique combination of three disciplines (chemical, civil, and geological engineering) as they relate to the environment.
-Focus on the environmental engineering issues related to air, water, and solids.
-Receive high-quality education and skill development opportunities.
-Be more prepared to be professionally successful, to be a lifelong learner, and to be a knowledgeable, contributing member of a multicultural, global society.

This part-time, online program is designed for working professionals. You will participate in class activities at the time and place of your choice. You are NOT required to come to campus at any time.

Eligibility Requirements:

-Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program in:
Environmental Engineering,
Chemical Engineering,
Civil Engineering,
Geological Engineering.
-If you have a Bachelor of Science degree in other engineering disciplines or in a science field with an appropriate background in chemistry, fluid mechanics, and mathematics, you may also be admitted.
-An undergraduate GPA of at least 2.50 overall or a GPA of 3.00 in the last 2 years of your undergraduate program.

If English is not your native language, you must complete the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) prior to admission. If you have received a bachelor's degree or higher from the United States or English-speaking Canada, you are not required to fulfill the English test requirement.
