Program Description:
The Department offers graduate programs that culminate in master's degrees with emphases in supervision, special education, social studies, science, reading, elementary education, and middle grades education, as well asinterdisciplinary programs in educational computing technology and birth through kindergarten education. Add-onlicensure programs are available in the following areas: English as a Second Language, Learning Disabilities, andBehavioral and Emotionally Handicapped. The advanced graduate program in Curriculum and Instruction leads to the Ph.D. degree. Areas of study are designed for students who plan to work in teacher education programs, withcurriculum or staff development in schools and school districts or in higher education.
