Program Description:

The University of North Carolina at Pembroke offers a program of graduate studies leading to the Master of Arts in Education degree and graduate-level licensure in Elementary Education, Middle Grades Education, and Reading Education.
The graduate education program was established in response to the needs of public school educators in this region of the state. The graduate program is planned as an outgrowth of strong undergraduate programs in teacher education. The programs are fully accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education, the North Carolina State Department of Public Instruction, and the Southern Association of College and Schools.
