Program Description:

The Department of Exercise and Sport Science offers specializations of study at the masters level in the following areas. Exercise Physiology - To prepare individuals to pursue research careers in exercise physiology, or to prepare students for immediate careers in the wellness industry, including hospitals and corporate fitness centers, as well as cardiac rehabilitation centers.Sport Administration - The graduate specialization in Sport Administration at the University of North Carolina focuses on preparing students for careers in athletic administration at the collegiate level. Sport Medicine - The Department of Exercise and Sport Science in cooperation with the Division of Sports Medicine and the Division of Physical Therapy offers a NATA-Approved Graduate Athletic Training Education Program leading to a Masters Degree in Exercise and Sport Science or Physical Therapy.
