Program Description:

The MArch(Arch Des) and MBEnv(Sust Dev) degrees have distinctively different emphases. The MArch(Arch Des) caters primarily to those interested in advanced architectural design and students are expected to have professional degrees in architecture, a qualification they share with a majority of those enrolling for the MBEnv(Sust Dev). The MBEnv(Sust Dev) focuses much more on applying principles of sustainability to designing the built environment. By strategically selecting elective courses, the new program will allow interested students to complete requirements for both degrees in four sessions, a reduction of one session in the time it would normally take to complete both degrees separately. The combined program leads to the award of two degrees with two testamurs (MArch (Arch Des) MBEnv(Sust Dev). It is a post-professional qualification and is not accredited for professional registration.
