Program Information
Format: Campus
Program Description:
The Program rests on a solid foundation of core and fundamental knowledge courses which provide, respectively, both a basis for critical appreciation of frameworks for environmental management and basic 'environmental literacy' in key disciplinary areas. The latter is seen as a key attribute in the environmental management field which necessarily involves collaborative decision-making by specialists from many disciplines. For this to be effective mutual understanding of others’ disciplinary perspectives is critical. Core courses also provide for appreciation of the inherently inter-and transdisciplinary nature of environmental management, and some experience of group work in addressing environmental management issues with colleagues from a range of different disciplinary backgrounds and experience.
