Program Description:
Natural Resources and the Environment offers a Master of Science Degree in Natural Resources with an option in Integrated Coastal Ecosystem Science, Policy and Management. Students are required to have adequate preparation in ecology, social sciences and statistics.
This interdisciplinary professional training program requires 36 credits of graduate training. Closely affiliated with the National Estuarine Research Reserve System Collaborative, this program will build knowledge and skills to foster an interdisciplinary and integrative approach for understanding and addressing coastal resource management and adaptation challenges. Students will be engaged in related ecosystem science, coastal estuarine, and watershed relevant natural resources and environmental management policies, strategies, and outcomes; communication, public participation and facilitation and conflict management skill building; and methods to identify information needs, identify emerging problems, and evaluate policy and resource effectiveness.
