Program Description:
The educational experience at the University of New England's College of Dental Medicine will include recruitment of compassionate students who demonstrate a commitment to social justice and/or leadership. Students will be supported in a learner-centered environment grounded in trust, collegiality, and high ethical standards with a commitment to population-based issues. Accreditation:
UNE submitted its application for initial accreditation for a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) program to the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) on April 1, 2011. A committee will determine whether or not a site visit will be granted. During the site visit, a team will travel to Maine to conduct an in-depth analysis of the plans of the DMD program and assess whether the plans for the proposed program demonstrate that it has the potential to meet the accreditation standards.
