Program Information
Degree Offered
M.F.A.
Program Description:
Students who have an interest in pursuing the M.F.A. in the visual arts are encouraged to review the following graduate curriculum and to reflect upon the thoughts, feelings and perceptions offered by a diverse UNLV Department of Art faculty as a rich and vital resource of the contemporary art scene. The various tracks of emphasis offered by the Department of Art's graduate curriculum are indicative of the general declarations, visions, or centers of tendencies for the dissemination of modernist aesthetic and artistic precepts. Although the Master of Fine Arts program is fundamentally aimed at an enrichment of life and mind through advanced study in studio art, the course of study is also designed to provide training and experience for those students interested in careers as professional artists.
