Program Description:
The Department of Food Science and Technology is located in the Food Industry Building, which is equipped with modern research laboratories and pilot plants. These facilities are among the best in the United States for food science research with state-of-the-art instruments, equipment and computer technology in all laboratories. We also have an outstanding faculty that conducts basic and applied research in food chemistry, food microbiology, food processing, and food engineering.
