Program Information
Degree Offered
M.S.N.;, Ph.D.
Program Description:
The Master of Science in Nursing program offers four functional role options: Nurse Educator, Nurse Leader, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Nurse Practitioner.
The Ph.D. Nursing Program is based on the belief that nursing is a science, that nursing scholars must receive doctoral preparation to develop as scientists, and that doctoral education is best accomplished in a milieu in which faculty and students participate in a partnership of inquiry. The College affords students the academic, clinical, and research resources of the entire University of Missouri system through a cooperative arrangement and telecommunication of select courses with the nursing programs at University of Missouri-Kansas City and University of Missouri-Columbia. Reciprocity for selected courses also exists between the University of Missouri-St. Louis and St. Louis University and Washington University.
