M.Acc. - The growing scope and diversity of functions being performed by professional accountants has created a strong demand for individuals who have both a broader base of general and business education as well as more in depth technical accounting education than can be obtained in a four-year baccalaureate program. Development of the 150-hour education requirement to sit for the CPA examination, which has now been adopted in most states, is further evidence of the need today for graduate education for new entrants into the accounting profession. The MAcc program at the University of Missouri-Columbia is designed especially to provide the additional breadth and depth of knowledge and skills required for success in contemporary accounting practice.Residential Ph.D. program which features a balance between teaching and research. Program is small and high quality, with all students funded for four years at $13,000 up and educational fees waived. Program features accounting concentration plus choice of 1 or 2 support areas and a research methods component.
