Program Description:
The doctoral program specializing in marriage and family therapy typically requires four to five years of full-time post-master's study (including coursework, clinical internship, and doctoral dissertation). Advanced Family Social Science doctoral students have a waiver from the Minnesota Board of Marriage and Family Therapy to provide supervision for Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapists (LAMFTs), who have completed their academic training and passed the licensure exam.
