Program Description:
The purpose of the M.U.P. degree is to provide professional education for men and women in the planning field. Students may eventually apply their professional skills in various government agencies or private enterprises withina variety of subject areas. Graduate education at Michigan emphasizes the development of their abilities to analyze, evaluate, integrate, and apply critical elements in interdisciplinary planning processes. The course of study normallyrequires two years (four terms) in residence for completion, after which the Master of Urban Planning degree is conferred.
