Program Information
Degree Offered
Master of Science - Chemistry/Biochemistry
Format: Campus
Program Description:
The Master of Science in Chemistry or Biochemistry has been designed to provide students with the education and research experience that is necessary to be fully prepared for a successful career in the chemical sciences.
Entry-level industrial or governmental positions are routinely requiring an MS degree combined with a background of performing independent research. The program requires students to perform research and defend a thesis, thus ensuring students have the needed experience. It is modeled after successful programs at other institutions; however, there are currently no similar offerings in the state of Michigan.
Students in the BS/MS program complete all of the requirements for the approved American Chemical Society (ACS) certified Bachelor of Science degree in either Chemistry or Biochemistry.
