Program Description:

Designed for professionals who value the liberal arts and seek a flexible and individualized post-baccalaureate education, the program offers challenging interdisciplinary study to adults who want a master's degree that will: • deepen and broaden their education while maintaining their careers • fill in perceived gaps in knowledge • allow students to pursue new interests, and • explore knowledge across disciplinary boundaries. While the M.A. in Liberal Studies is neither professional nor vocational in orientation, it nevertheless develops critical thinking and writing skills as well as interdisciplinary knowledge and techniques that may be applied in professional and vocational contexts.
