Program Description:

This program affords the accounting major or equivalent the opportunity to specialize in the area of federaltaxation. Emphasis is placed on a thorough grounding in the principles of tax research, corporate taxation, andtaxation of partnerships and partners. Courses address issues in both tax compliance and tax planning. Throughelectives, students are able to expand their areas of expertise, so that they may adequately prepare themselves forcareers requiring a high degree of specialized tax knowledge in public accounting, private industry, andgovernment.
