Program Description:

MAIA is a University of Miami graduate professional degree designed to prepare individuals for careers in government, as well as multinational corporations (MNCs) and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that are international in scope. Unlike conventional “international affairs” programs, MAIA equips students with both operational skills and a solid conceptual background resulting in graduates that are theoretically capable practitioners. Regional specializations with an emphasis on language and cultural competency are another feature resulting from excellent inter-institutional links with leading foreign universities such as Charles University (Czech Republic), Belgrano University (Argentina), and St. Petersburg State University (Russia). Additionally, students may also opt to pursue tracks/specializations in areas such as Marine Affairs, Business, Social Sciences and International Public Health to supplement co-curricular Workshops/Boot Camps and Clinics.
