Degree Offered
Ph.D. - School Psychology
Format: Campus
Program Description:
The doctoral concentration in School Psychology was approved in 1991. The program of studies and experiences was designed to be consistent with the accreditation guidelines of both the American Psychological Association and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education/National Association of School Psychologists. The program provides a balance of practitioner and research orientations, courses, and experiences. In contrast to the MA/Ed.S. program, the Ph.D. concentration has a much stronger focus on research. The Psychology Department offers a broad range of research opportunities and students are encouraged to be involved with departmental research activities throughout their training.
