Program Description:
The Master of Actuarial Science provides initial actuarial education for graduates who have mathematical or statistical specialisations (e.g. commerce, mathematics, physics, or engineering). The course enables you (subject to obtaining a sufficiently high pass) to receive some exemptions from the professional actuarial examinations conducted by the Institute of Actuaries of Australia and the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (UK).
The Master of Actuarial Science consists of 16 subjects (8 core plus 8 elective subjects). The Master of Actuarial Science will normally be completed in two years of full-time or four years of part-time study. The maximum time permitted for completion is four years.
