Program Description:
Although graduates of osteopathic medical schools are prepared to enter post-graduate study in all medical and surgical specialties, UMDNJ-SOM has historically had a commitment to primary care medicine.The curriculum includes experiences that will enable the student to work along with other health care providers and agencies within the patients community. Students may also have the opportunity to be assigned to and work with a single patient and his / her family throughout their years of medical training.
