Program Description:

The UMDNJ-Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences has introduced a new multidisciplinary Master of Science program in the Biomedical Sciences. The program is directed toward individuals interested in careers in the pharmaceutical industry or in improving their science base for application to dental or medical school. The MSBS program has specified core requirements, but is flexible in order to accommodate diverse needs and interests of the students. The core of the program includes courses in biochemistry and molecular biology, cell and tissue biology, genetics,immunology, and biomedical computing. The student then may choose electives in pharmacology, physiology,neurobiology, and related areas. The program includes laboratory experience and a research thesis. It is designed to be completed within two years, but can be done in a year or extended up to four years.
