Program Description:
University of Maryland University College's Graduate E-Business Certificate is designed to address the basic requirements of e-business: introduction to e-business, e-marketing, e-technologies, e-business economics, and social, legal, ethical, and regulatory issues. The Internet has opened up new possibilities for organizing and running a business and is changing the way businesses transact goods and services. As businesses invest in the commercialization of the Internet/WWW, there is an enormous need from a variety of fronts to understand the implications for strategic initiatives, marketing and advertising, financial markets, information systems strategy, human resource management, supply chain management and legal issues. A certificate program in e-Business is designed for students to learn how organizations can use Internet technology to create new business opportunities and how they can transform an existing business into an e-Business. Core coursework includes: Introduction to E-Business, E-Marketing, Social, Legal, Ethical, and Regulatory Issues, E-Technology, and E-Business Economics. This certificate requires 15 semester hours to complete.
