Program Description:

The core M.Sc. programme in Biodiversity and Conservation covers the biological and institutional underpinnings of conservation science: population and community ecology, taxonomy, conservation genetics, and environmental economics. Option modules include law, GIS, habitat management, and an African field course. Research projects are undertaken on conservation and biodiversity worldwide. M.Res students have fewer taught options, but perform three research projects: one each in the field, the laboratory, and on computer.
