Program Description:
The graduate program in Rural Sociology at the University of Kentucky is internationally recognized for excellence in research, extension, and teaching. The program has three areas of core specialization: Comparative Sociology of Agriculture; Family and Household Dynamics; and Community, Environment, and Natural Resource Development. The Rural Sociology program is staffed by 17 faculty within the Department of Sociology, which has a total of 37 faculty.
