Program Description:
The Department of Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering at the University of Kentucky is housed in expansive modern facilities, has a nationally recognized faculty, and ranks at or near the top of similar U.S. departments in research productivity.Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering applies engineering fundamentals and scientific principles to biological systems, such as: efficient use and conversion of natural resources; mechanized production of crops; controlled environments for animals; processing food, feed and fiber; bioprocessing for production of biochemicals; and development of landfill waste treatment systems.
