Program Description:
The primary purpose of the programs in Russian, East European and East European Studies at the University of Kansas is to promote the study of Russia, the former Soviet Union, and Eastern Europe within an integrated, interdisciplinary framework, as well as in each of the traditional academic disciplines. The REES program offers language and area tracks in Russian, Polish, Ukrainian,and Serbo-Croatian and encourages student and faculty exchange with those world areas

The University of Kansas is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association Of Colleges and Schools (NCA). This accreditation provides assurance that KU has met nationally recognized standards. KU was granted a full 10-year accreditation on June 24, 2005. The next accreditation review will be 2015.
