Program Description:
The degree program consists of 30 credit hours, with a thesis/non thesis option. The student may take graduate-level courses in the Greek language, in Latin, or in both. A maximum of 12 hours may be taken in non language courses, including relevant courses in areas such as philosophy, history, history of art, archaeology, and linguistics. The master's degree is a program of advanced study and includes a research component. Students wishing to prepare for Ph.D.-level studies should consult carefully with the graduate adviser.
