Program Description:
The University of Kansas has a long and distinguished history in Ecology and Population Biology. Our faculty focus on a wide diversity of research areas, including the quantitative population ecology of plants and small mammals; terrestrial plant community ecology; grassland biodiversity and restoration ecology; plant fungal pathogen dynamics and population biology; successional changes in terrestrial insect communities; terrestrial ecosystem ecology; the remote sensing of natural resources; life history theory; molecular evolution in vascular plants; evolutionary and theoretical population genetics; theoretical ecology; and limnology and aquatic ecology.
International Student Requirements:
International students are required to verify English proficiency. Generally this is accomplished by submitting official TOEFL-ibt scores. For regular admission, all parts of the TOEFL-ibt must be at least 20. International master's applicants must submit proof of financial resources for their first year of study.
