Program Description:
ò The entry-level MOT program at KU prepares students for a career as an occupational therapist. Occupational therapists work in rehabilitation centers, public and private schools, mental health facilities, nursing homes, home health agencies, and other community settings, helping individuals with disabilities and their families to have more fulfilling lives.ò The post-professional OTD program is directed at therapists already in practice who already possess either a Bachelor's Degree or a Master of Occupational Therapy degree and who wish to upgrade their knowledge and skills to the doctoral level, to meet the increasing demands of complex practice issues.ò The research-based interdisciplinary MS/PhD in Therapeutic Science is intended for OTs and other postgraduate scholars who will be trained to generate new knowledge and to translate that knowledge into practice, to support of people with disabilities, their families, and their communities.
