Program Description:
The nursing administration graduate program at Iowa was rated #1 in the country in 2001 US News and World Report Graduate Rankings. The 38-credit master's program prepares nurses to practice as nurse managers/administrators. The 60-credit PhD program prepares nurses for careers as executives, consultants, researchers and faculty members. Unique resources at Iowa include the nursing administration laboratory housing hundreds of research instruments, books, and software related to nursing administration and the Center for Nursing Classification dedicated to facilitating the update, implementation, and research on Nursing Interventions Classification (NIC) and Nursing Outcomes Classification (NOC).
