Program Description:

The Department of Biology and Biochemistry is in a rapid growth phase in which eight faculty have been added in the last three years. The diverse research interests of our faculty offer students an outstanding opportunity for interdisciplinary training in the biological and biochemical sciences. Our graduate students are supported by Research Assistantships, Teaching Assistantships or governmental fellowships that provide competitive stipends and full medical and dental insurance. Students graduate in an average of 3 years (MS) or 5 years (PhD) and move on to productive careers in academic, industrial and governmental research labs.
