Program Description:

The University of Hawaii offers a broad graduate program that is focussed on the PhD. Students are guided by a 30-strong graduate faculty based in the university's Institute for Astronomy. Most student research programs are carried out with the telescopes of Mauna Kea and Haleakala observatories, but theoretical studies are also encouraged.
