Hartt's Division of Music Education offers one of the nation's most comprehensive courses of study. Combining the rigors of conservatory training with a solid foundation in music education, the program prepares students for careers as vocal or instrumental music education specialists at the elementary and secondary levels. Music Education majors may, in addition to general music, choral music, wind and string instrumental pedagogy, receive training in such methodologies as Kodály, Suzuki, Gordon's Music Learning Theory, and Orff.
