Program Description:

This program is designed to serve the educational needs of health care practitioners in medical, psychological, chiropractic, social work, nursing, community, and complementary healing practitioners in private and institutionalsettings; and of practitioners in body and energy oriented fields such as Reiki, Traeger, Qi-Gong, Tai-Chi andTherapeutic Touch interested in expanding their knowledge about the body-mind relationship. The program is also appropriate for research scientists, neuropsychologists, cognitive psychologists who wish to concentrate on the research problems and potentials for new knowledge which currently exist in the study of consciousness andthe body-mind relationship. Teachers whose career orientation is in any of the fields above and those who wish toaugment their knowledge of consciousness to enhance their effectiveness in the classroom, both in an improveddelivery of content and in the establishment of an environment more conducive to productive learning will alsobenefit from the program. Theoreticians and philosophers who wish to examine theories and philosophies aboutconsciousness from several different points of view, either reviewing and integrating them for their own sake, toteach, or in order to creatively integrate contemporary knowledge may enrol.
