Program Description:

"The Economics Department offers a PhD program that provides in-depth, rigorous training in economic theory and econometrics and prepares students for careers in research, teaching and consulting in academia, private industry and government. The program offers fields of specialization in econometrics, industrial organization, international economics, monetary/macro economics, health economics, public economics and labor economics. The department DOES NOT offer or admit students into a stand-alone master's program. Only PhD students who discontinue work toward their doctorate are eligible to pursue the MA as a terminal degree. In addition, highly motivated undergraduate UGA students can earn an MA degree through our combined Bachelor's/Master's program, offered in cooperation with the University's Honors Program."
