Program Description:

The businesspeople who enter the full-time MBA program at the
University of Georgia immerse themselves in an intense
experience focused on learning and personal development.
Advanced business knowledge, leadership skills seminars, career
coaching and leadership coaching are interwoven in the Terry MBA
program's curricular and extracurricular programming. Through
these integrated experiences, Terry MBA students acquire not only
advanced business skills, but also a new level of self knowledge,
an understanding of the dynamics of leadership and team processes,
polished communication and presentation skills, and greater clarity
about their personal values, goals and career choices.
Going hand in hand with an individualized approach to leadership
is a highly personalized approach to career development. Working
with our Career Management Center staff and with retained
executive search consultants from the international search firm,
Stanton Chase International, Terry MBA students acquire key career
management skills that will serve them for a lifetime. MBA CMC
programming and one-on-one career counseling has resulted in the
highest level of student satisfaction with the MBA CMC ever.
Academically, the Terry MBA program is challenging and rigorous.
During the first year (or the summer semester for 11-
month accelerated students), the program is a lock-step progression
of foundational business courses, culminating in the capstone
integrative exercise, a three-day business case simulation during
which each student team makes decisions, reacts to changes,
and strives to achieve the best results in competition with their
peers. The second-year curriculum was revised in 2009 to
define concentrations that ensure Terry MBA students acquire the
