Program Description:

The Department of Marine Sciences offers advanced training leading to the Ph.D. and M.S. degrees. Students develop an individualized program of study in one of three areas of marine sciences: biological oceanography, chemical oceanography, or physical oceanography. Coastal marine systems and processes is a specialization of the department, although the pursuit of study in other areas is encouraged.
