Program Description:
The graduate program is focused on ecological and environmental anthropology. Ecological and Environmental Anthropology at our university is defined very broadly, encompassing the theoretical and methodological training essential to understanding past and present human ecological change. Areas of teaching and research emphasis include: the anthropology of conservation issues, historical ecology, the evolution of human ecological systems, development anthropology, population ecology, ethnobiology, ethnomedicine, paleoecology, and primate socioecology.
