Program Description:

The Department of Oral Biology offers a specialization in oral biology within the Ph.D. in Medical Sciencesdegree program. This Ph.D. program requires 90 hours of combined classroom and research credits. Eachstudent must participate in at least three laboratory rotations with different faculty prior to selecting amentor. At the end of the fourth semester of coursework, the student takes a written and oralcomprehensive examination. After satisfactorily passing this examination, the student is allowed to officiallybegin research for the dissertation. There is no foreign language requirement.
