Program Description:
The Master of Health Science program offers advanced studies in occupational therapy theory and research. It is rated 10th in the nation (Gourman, 1996). Applicants must meet University of Florida GPA and GRE requirements for graduate study and be a certified occupational therapist or have completed an accredited curriculum in occupational therapy. The curriculum is designed to develop knowledge and skills in scientific inquiry, theory analysis and specialty competency in a climate that fosters self-directed learning. The program seeks to qualify graduates for leadership responsibilities and opportunities in education, management and service that are not ordinarily available at the undergraduate level. OTR's with master's degrees may apply to the Ph.D. program in Rehabilitation Science offered by the College of Health Professions.
